JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's University baseball junior
Jack Eichler (Verona, N.J.) collected two hits, drove in a run, as the Peacocks fell to Manhattan College 7-1.
The Peacocks fall to 1-22 overall and 0-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, while the Jaspers improve to 7-17 and 1-0 in MAAC play.
Manhattan took an early lead with a run in the first inning while the Jaspers added two runs in the third inning.
Saint Peter's broke through in the sixth as
Johnathan Behm (Colorado Springs, Colo.) doubled and advanced to third on the throw. Eichler ripped a single to center to score Behm to cut the score to 3-1.
The Jaspers added four runs in the later innings for the final score.
Sophomore
Jack Gannon (Warwick, R.I.) tossed 6 1/3 innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on three hits with four strikeouts.

Nick Markantonatos (Portland, Ore.) drove in a run as the Peacocks fell in a non-conference game 5-1 to Seton Hall University.
The Peacocks and Jaspers wrap up their three-game series with a MAAC doubleheader on Sunday, April 2 at 11 am at Jaroschak Field.
