JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Saint Peter's Women's basketball returns home to Run Baby Run Arena on Wednesday night to host Wagner. Tip-off is set for 7pm. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
About Saint Peter's
The Peacocks are off to a 2-4 start, currently taking wins over CCSU and LIU. Both wins have come by double-digits.
Sophomore
Jada Leonard led the team in scoring against LIU, shooting 46% from the field (6-13), 5-of-10 from 3-point distance and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. Against LIU, she scored 20 points, a new season high for her 36
th career game. She posted nine points with four rebounds against Fordham.
Freshman
Fatmata Janneh posted 17 points and 11 rebounds against LIU, her second career double-double. Janneh had a total of seven points during the first against LIU. She has 37 rebounds so far this season. Against Fordham, Janneh was the lead scorer for the Peacocks, scoring 12 points after shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. She collected two rebounds and three steals. Earlier this week, she was awarded the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the first time in her young career.
Saint Peter's is 1-0 at home this season.
About Wagner
The Wagner Women's Basketball team enters the game with a record of 1-5. The Seahawks victory came earlier in the season against Navy. Wagner ranks third in the Northeast Conference (NEC). The team shoots a stark 47.9 percent from the floor.
Junior Semie Brar posted 26 points against Iona on November 27
th. Brar leads the Seahawks with 12.3 points per game.

This is the ninth matchup in history between the Seahawks and the Peacocks. The Peacocks have yet to record a win against the Seahawks in their previous meetings.
