PISCATAWAY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's men's basketball team (1-4) dropped a non conference game at Rutgers (5-1) 71- 40 on Monday, Nov. 27 at Jersey Mike's Arena.

Michael Houge notched his first career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Saint Peter's out-rebounded Rutgers 51-38.

The Peacocks shot 23.6% in the game.

The Scarlet Knights were led by Noah Fernandez (19 points) and Clifford Omoruyi (17 points, 8 rebounds.)

Following a Stephon Roberts layup the Peacocks trailed 11-9 in the first half. RU responded with a 7-0 run and led by 10 at halftime.

In the second half the Peacocks shot just 6/25 FG and 1-5 from three point range as the Scarlet Knights maintained their advantage and closed out the game at 71-40.
Next, the Peacocks begin conference play this weekend on the road. Saint Peter's faces Niagara (1-3) on Saturday, Dec. 1, and Canisius (4-3) on Sunday, Dec. 3.
