JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's volleyball team honored its senior class today at the Yanitelli Center before they faced MAAC opponent Quinnipiac (18-9). SPU's Skylee Nelson, Madison Somberg, and Camille Thoennes were honored prior to the match for their contributions to Saint Peter's.

Quinnipiac won the match three sets to none.

Mackenzie Tucker led the Peacocks with seven kills and two service aces. Tucker finished the regular season with a team-high 221 kills and 2.84 points per set. The SPU sophomore is tied for the most service aces with Samantha Trujillo.

Lilly Konrad passed for a team-high seven assists. Konrad has distributed the most assists this season for Saint Peter's with 348.

At the net, Morgan Thurlow recorded a team-high 2 blocks. Thurlow finished the season with a team-high 82 blocks.

SPU senior Morgan Somberg tallied a team-high 13 digs.

In the opening set, Quinnipiac jumped out to a 10-2 advantage. The Bobcats took five of the last six points in the set and won it 25-6.

Following a Tucker kill and service ace SPU had a 7-5 advantage in the second set. The Bobcats answered back with a 3-0 run and regained the lead. Later in the set, the Bobcats won five straight points and took an 18-11 lead. Saint Peter's dropped the second set 25-17.

The Peacocks dropped the third set. QU led 17-11 before the Bobcats won six straight points and closed out the set at 25-13.
