FAIRFIELD, C.T. – The Saint Peter's University baseball team lost to Fairfield 18-17 on Saturday afternoon. Junior infielder Jeff Massicotte hit two home runs and tallied five RBIs on the day.

How It Happened
- Fairfield scored five runs in the second.
- It was a monster third inning for the Peacocks, as they scored seven runs capped off by a three run homer from Massicotte. Freshman infielder Tyler Smith hit a two-run double in the inning as well.
- Massicotte hit his second home run of the game in the fifth inning to push the Peacocks lead to four. It was a two-run shot that scored himself and Smith.
- Saint Peter's struck again in the fifth after sophomore infielder Jack Eichler hit a leadoff double. He later scored on an error.
- The Stags scored seven runs in the sixth.
- Fairfield added three in the seventh and one in the eighth.
- Junior infielder Sam Haney hit a solo homer in the ninth to kick off a seven run inning for the Peacocks. With two outs, senior outfielder Anthony Abbatine and graduate infielder Chris Marquart each hit two-run singles that put the Peacocks in front heading into the bottom frame of the ninth.
- Fairfield scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win.
