Volleyball Finishes Home Slate With Loss to Canisius

JERSEY CITY, NY – The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team lost three sets to none against Canisius on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Elena Bilhartz led the team in scoring with 8.5 points in the contest.

Match Notes

• Canisius jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first set and never looked back, taking down the Peacocks 25-17.
• Trailing 14-13 in the second set, Saint Peter's allowed Canisius to go on a 6-0 run to take an eight point lead. They would win 25-14.
• The third set was similar to the second set, as Canisius led 15-14 before going on another 6-0 run and taking the set 25-18.

Inside the Numbers

• Bilhartz had 8.5 points and eight kills.
• Freshman Sydney Kuzma had six kills and seven points. She also added two digs and an assist.
• Freshman Lillian Konrad had 21 assists and four digs.
• Juniors Alexis Kapales and Skylee Nelson led the team in digs with nine.

• Saint Peter's is back in action on Saturday, November 12, as they visit Quinnipiac. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
