JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's volleyball won three sets to two against Manhattan on Wednesday night.
Freshman Elena Bilhartz was the Peacocks leading scorer on the day, tallying 22.5 points.
Match Notes
- The first set ended up being back and forth between the two teams, as neither team's lead ever grew past five. The Peacocks and Jaspers battled into overtime, but the Jaspers came away with three straight points to win 28-26.
- Carrying over momentum from the first set, Manhattan jumped out to a 5-1 lead. Down 8-4, the Peacocks scored 21 of the next 33 points to take down the Jaspers 25-20 and tie things at one set a piece.
- The Peacocks jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the third set, but it was Manhattan who made the comeback this time, highlighted by a 5-0 run midway through the set. They would win 25-21.
- Facing another loss and down 15-11, the Peacocks stormed back to take the fourth set 25-20 and force a fifth set tiebreaker.
- Standing tall, the Peacocks never trailed in the fifth set, winning 15-10 and claiming their first victory of the season.

- Bilhartz had 22.5 points and 15 kills.
- Freshman Sydney Kuzma had 15 kills and 16 points. She also had 19 digs.
- Freshman Mackenzie Tucker recorded 11 kills and 13 points.
- Freshman Lillian Konrad had 48 assists and 14 digs.
