  • Saint Peter's women's volleyball will continue the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) slate this weekend with a road match against rival Rider University.
  • The Peacocks and Broncs will battle on Saturday, September 25 at 1pm in Lawrenceville.
  • SPU will look to bounce back after dropping its MAAC openers last weekend at Quinnipiac and Fairfield, to start the league season 0-2.
  • Against the Bobcats, the Peacocks had one of their best defensive matches at the net, blocking a season-tying 15 attacks (12 ba, 3 bs).

History with Rider
  • Saint Peter's will meet in-state rival Rider for the 48th time since the 1984 season.
  • The Peacocks trail the all-time series 21-26.
  • SPU has dropped three straight to Rider, last earning a win in the series in 2018 at the Yanitelli Center.
  • On the road, the Peacocks have not been victorious over the Broncs since 2009.
Scouting the Broncs
  • The Rider University Broncs enter the weekend match 2-1 in the MAAC and 4-8 overall on the season.
  • Rider has won two in a row and four out of five over the past two weeks.

  • Sophomore libero Alwen Pila heads into the weekend third in the MAAC in digs while graduate setter Wildalys Soto ranks fifth in assists.
  • Additional conference leaders include, freshman Suzzanne Bigelow and senior Alanis Alvarado, who rank top-10 in blocks and kills, respectively.
  • As a team, the Peacocks' efforts on the defensive side of the net has the squad ranked third in digs and fifth in blocks.
