Opening Word:
- The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team will make its return to Jersey City this weekend for a two-day series against hOURglass rival Monmouth.
- The games will take place from Feb. 13-14 with both contests beginning at 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday's matchup marks the first home game for the Peacocks since their Jan. 10 bout against Quinnipiac. During their last time out, Saint Peter's faced off against Fairfield on February 8, ultimately falling to the Stags 67-61.
- Redshirt-senior Kendrea Williams led the team in scoring against the Stags, finishing with 20 points on the day, while freshman Sky Castro recorded a new career-high of 12 points while leading the Peacocks with eight rebounds.
History with the Hawks:
- Saint Peter's will look to make up some ground in the overall series against Monmouth this weekend, as the Peacocks enter Saturday trailing 13-28 all-time against their hOURglass rivals.
- The last meeting between the two teams came down to the wire as the Hawks took a narrow 59-57 win in West Long Branch on Feb. 8, 2020.
