JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team lost to the Howard Bison by a score of 62-52 Sunday afternoon in Run Baby Run Arena.
Graduate guard Kendrea Williams got things going early for the Peacocks, making her first shot from distance to give the Peacocks the lead. It was a back and forth quarter that ended with Howard leading by two.
The Bison started to extend their lead in the second quarter, but Williams was able to keep the deficit manageable. She scored eight points in the quarter, but Howard led by 14 at the break.
Coming out of the half, sophomore guard Rachel Kuhl hit a three to get the Peacocks going. Sophomore forward Giah Moore then made the layup plus drew the foul to get the deficit back to within 10. She would convert on the free throw as well. The Peacocks trailed by 13 heading into the fourth.
Williams again came alive in the fourth quarter. She made a three-pointer with 6:44 left in the quarter to get within 10 of the Bison. On the next possession, she made another three and was fouled, which cut the Howard lead to six. Saint Peter's would be unable to get the score any closer, and would ultimately fall to the Bison by ten.

- Williams led all scorers in the game, scoring 23 points and draining five threes.
- Senior guard Tyara McQueen played 31 minutes off of the bench, scoring seven points and recording five steals.
- Despite only scoring five points, junior center Kassondra Brown grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Peacocks in that category.
- Saint Peter's had a season high nine players score in the game.
