Women’s Soccer Falters at Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, CT - The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team lost to Quinnipiac University by a score of 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. 

Game Notes:

• Freshman Lula Mansilla Medina recorded the first shot of the game for either team in the second minute.
• Senior midfielder Kinlee Bruns had an attempt that went wide in the 21st minute.
• Quinnipiac scored three goals across the rest of the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
• Freshman midfielder Sydney Watson had an attempt in the 59th minute that went off-target.
• Quinnipiac tallied two more goals, one in the 71st minute another in the 79th minute.
• Saint Peter's was unable to create any scoring chances down the stretch.

Inside the Numbers:

• The Peacocks registered seven shots. Senior midfielder Jessica Auvil led the team with two.
• Freshman goalkeeper Annabelle Adams made four saves.
• Watson, Auvil, and senior midfielder Stephanie Radakovic were all issued yellow cards.

Up Next:

• The Peacocks return to Jersey City on Wednesday, October 13, as they host the Iona Gaels, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m.
