LIVE STATS

Opening Word:
  • The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team heads down to Lawrenceville on Thursday night for their final road game of the 2019-20 regular season against hOURglass rival Rider. The opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
  • The Peacocks are coming off a week-long break following their narrow one-point loss to defending MAAC champion Quinnipiac on Feb. 27.
  • Redshirt junior Taiah Thornton had an impressive showing against the Bobcats, finishing with a game-high 27 points and led the team with three steals.
  • Thornon's classmates Gabrielle Harris and Kendrea Williams also finished in double-digits in the contest, scoring 12 and 11, respectively.
History with the Broncs:
  • Thursday night's game will mark the 69th meeting between the Peacocks and the Broncs, as Saint Peter's enters with a 43-25 advantage.
  • Saint Peter's took an impressive wire-to-wire victory over Rider earlier this season on Feb. 6, shocking the league by handing the Broncs their first MAAC loss of the season.
  • Three Peacocks finished in double-digits in that initial meeting against the Broncs, with sophomore Briyanah Richardson leading the team with 16 points, while senior Zoe Pero registered a double-double in the affair, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
  • Saint Peter's is seeking its first win in Lawrenceville since a 65-54 victory on Jan. 15, 2012.
End of the Road:
  • The Peacocks round out their road trips on Thursday night; regardless of the result, the program posted their most successful season away from Jersey City since the 2011-12 campaign when the team also won three away games.
  • So far this year, the Peacocks have accrued wins on the road against LIU, Coppin State, and MAAC foe Canisius.
  • Perhaps the most impressive victory on the road came against the Golden Griffins on Feb. 15, in which the Peacocks tied the MAAC record for made three-pointers by draining 16 shots from beyond the arc.
  • A fourth road win at Rider on Thursday would guarantee the most road wins in a single season for the program since 2009-10.
Up Next:
  • The Peacocks return to Jersey City on Saturday (March 7) to host Iona in their final home game of the regular season.
  • Before the game, Saint Peter's will honor seniors Zoe Pero and Sammy Lochner, as well as Yamel Abreu and team managers Breanna Coates and Moyanda Pierre in the team's Senior Day ceremony.
