Lebron Has Career Day on the Mound in Defeat at The Citadel

CHARLESTON, SC – The Saint Peter's baseball squad fell in the final game of a three-game series at The Citadel on Sunday, dropping the contest 9-0.
 
How it Happened

• The Citadel scored a single run in both the first and second innings.
• Over the next three innings, Saint Peter's did not allow a single hit, posting 1-2-3 innings in the third and fourth, and only putting one runner on base by way of a walk in the fifth.
• From the sixth through the eighth, The Citadel scored a combined seven runs, including a five-run sixth inning.

 
Inside the Numbers

• Right-handed pitcher Dawy Lebron (0-2) pitched in one of the best games of his career, seeing 5.0 innings of action, only allowing one walk and two hits --- all three marks were career-best for the Senior. Lebron also struck out six batters in the meeting, two shy of his career-high. 
• Saint Peter's only had three hits on the afternoon.
• John Gavura went 2-for-4 at the plate, with a double to lead the Peacocks.
• Trent Koerner picked up the other hit for the visiting Peacocks in the game.
