Opening Word:

The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team is back in Jersey City this week, hosting hOURglass rival Monmouth on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in a 7 p.m. tip-off.
The Peacocks most recently traveled to Fairfield on Saturday (Jan. 11), falling to the Stags, 67-48, in what was the team's lowest scoring affair thus far this season.
Although the Peacocks got off to a slow start against the Stags, the team was able to regroup in the second half, outscoring their opponents 22-17 in the third quarter.
Redshirt junior Gabrielle Harris enjoyed a productive outing against Fairfield, scoring a team-high 15 points while shooting 55 percent from the field.

History with the Hawks:

Saint Peter's enters Tuesday night's game with an overall record of 13-26 against Monmouth, having first met on the court on Feb. 18, 1970.
Since Monmouth entered the MAAC during the 2013-14 season, the Peacocks have gone 3-9 against their in-state rival from West Long Branch.
Saint Peter's will be looking for its first win in the series since Jan. 26, 2018, when the Peacocks came away with a 67-47 win at home.
During their last time out against Monmouth, the Peacocks dropped a 76-59 decision in last year's regular season finale on March 2.

5 Going on 15:

Harris' 15 point performance against the Stags marked the Trenton native's sixth game of the season in which she registered at least 15 points.
Harris ranks second on the team in scoring for this season, registering a 14.3 points per game average, as well as field goals made (56).
The redshirt junior's most productive MAAC game came on Jan. 6, when she led the team to a win against Siena, dropping a team-high 25 points and shooting 66.7 percent from the floor.

Up Next:

The Peacocks will enjoy a five day rest period before returning to the court when they head to New Rochelle to take on Iona on Monday, Jan. 20, for a 1 p.m. start.
