Game Notes
- Rutgers midfielder Jackson Temple recorded the first score of the day for either side, netting a give-and-go with teammate Pable Avila in the 22nd minute.
- Avila would score the Scarlet Knights' second goal of the night at the 50 minute mark, burying a feed from Thomas DeVizio from the outside.
- The Peacocks responded immediately, with Jowers sinking a shot off from the top of the box into the upper-right corner of the net after an assist from Dominic Laws less than a minute later.
- That, however, was the last time either side would find the twine, as the Scarlet Knights held off a valiant comeback attempt by the Peacocks.
