For Starters
- The Saint Peter's University women's volleyball team will play in the final multi-team tournament of the regular season this weekend when the team participates in the Central Connecticut State (CCSU) Invitational in New Britain, Connecticut.
- Saint Peter's will meet host CCSU on Friday afternoon, followed by meetings on Saturday with Bucknell and Rhode Island (URI).
- This is the second time the program will be in the CCSU Invitational field, with its only other appearance coming in 2011.
- Saint Peter's heads to Connecticut after picking up its second win of the season on Wednesday following a five-set nailbiter with Delaware State.
- The Peacocks needed to rally from a 2-1 deficit to earn their second victory of the season, which also marked their second five-set win of the young campaign.
- Alanis Alvarado and Angeleyshka Curbelo led the team offensively, combining for 33 of the Peacocks' 46 kills in the win.
Peacocks against CCSU Field
- Saint Peter's owns a combined 1-15 all-time mark against its three upcoming opponents in the tournament.
- Saint Peter's is 1-3 all-time against CCSU in a series that dates back to 2002.
- The Peacocks won the first ever meeting, 3-1, before falling in the past three, most recently in 2011 when CCSU won, 3-0.
- Saint Peter's and Bucknell will be facing off for the second time this season and 12th time in history, with the Bison having won every prior meeting. When the teams met just a week ago at the Bucknell Invitational, the Bison topped the Peacocks, 3-0.
- Saint Peter's and URI have met only once: back in 2013 at the Lehigh Classic, which went to the Rams by a 3-0 final.
