Pioneers Edge Men’s Soccer in Connecticut

FAIRFIELD, CT - Junior forward, Dominic Laws found the back of the net for the second time this fall, but the Saint Peter's University men's soccer team was edged by Sacred Heart, 2-1, on Wednesday afternoon in Connecticut. 
 
Game Notes

• The Pioneers were able to get on the board early on Wednesday, notching their first tally just after the sixth minute mark off a shot from Jean Gabriel Pierazzi.
• That score went unchanged for nearly 80 minutes until Pioneer forward Segundo Navarro was able to find the back of the net to give the hosts an important insurance marker.
• The Peacocks would not go quietly, as Laws spoiled the clean sheet bid with a last-minute goal after burying a feed from freshman defender Tom Climpson.
