History vs. the "Field"
- The Peacocks have a combined 12-9 all-time record against their upcoming Terrier Classic opponents in Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), Central Michigan (CMU), and St. Francis Brooklyn.
- Saint Peter's and UMES are an even 2-2 since first meeting in 1996.
- The Peacocks took the first two meetings, while the Hawks have won the past two matchups.
- The two programs last met at the 2017 Terrier Classic, where UMES earned a 3-1 win over Saint Peter's.
- Saint Peter's will do battle with CMU for the first time in program history.
- Against the tournament host, the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers, the Peacocks hold a 10-7 series advantage since 1984.
- Despite being on a current three-match losing streak against St. Francis Brooklyn, the Peacocks are 3-1 against their cross-river rivals in contests played during the Terrier Classic.

All-Conference Duo Back
- The sophomore duo of Alanis Alvarado and Karen Ramiu racked up a combined four MAAC honors last season; the most by a Peacocks tandem in a single season since 2001 when that team earned seven MAAC awards across the board.
- The two become the first pair of teammates since 2003 to return to the Peacocks' lineup after earning All-MAAC honors the previous season.
El Boricua
- For the second consecutive season, the Saint Peter's women's volleyball team has the most Puerto Rican born players on its roster in the country and over 50 percent of the team's roster features a Puerto Rico native, also the most among any team in the country.
MAAC Preseason
- Sophomore sensation Karen Ramiu became the first Peacock since 2006 to be named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason All-MAAC Team.
- The Peacocks were picked tied for eighth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll, the programs highest preseason selection since 2010.
Top Returners
- Interim head coach Joe Chojnacki begins his first season with a ton of attacking power back on the court.
- The Peacocks return 12 letter winners from last season's team that posted the best finish in a decade and first MAAC Championship appearance since 2006.
- The squad brings back 64 percent of its scoring and returns the team's top three point-earners from 2018 in the sophomore trio of Angeleyshka Curbelo, Alanis Alvarado, and Karen Ramiu.
- Defensively, junior libero Karla Seda has led the Peacocks in digs the last two seasons and has only missed one match during her first two years in Jersey City.
Up Next
- The Peacocks resume action next weekend in the Bucknell Invitational.
- The invitational will be hosted by Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on September 6 and 7.
