Opening Word:

The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team will play host to the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights on Saturday. The opening tip is set to go up at 1 p.m.
Saint Peter's will hit the floor for the first time in two weeks after their most recent matchup against Delaware State on Dec. 7. The Peacocks dropped that contest against the Hornets by an 89-66 margin, which marked the first time this season that team was held under 70 points.
Redshirt junior Gabrielle Harris and sophomore Briyanah Richardson were the Peacocks' top scorers against DSU, with each player posting 14 points.
Harris also led the team with four assists, while Richardson and senior Zoe Pero each grabbed a team-high five rebounds.

Series with the Knights:

The Peacocks and the Knights will face each other for the 29th meeting in the series on Saturday.
Saint Peter's holds a significant advantage all-time against FDU, entering this weekend's game with a 22-6 record against the Knights.
Saint Peter's and FDU first met on Jan. 26, 1982, when the Peacocks won the inaugural contest 88-69.
The last time the two squads played came a year ago to the day, when the Peacocks took a definitive 75-58 victory at home on Dec. 21, 2018.

League Leading:

Through seven games, the Peacocks own the highest scoring offense in the MAAC (79.6 ppg), with the next closest team averaging more than 10 points fewer per game.
Saint Peter's also claims the best free throw percentage in the conference, successfully converting 79.2 percent of their shots from the charity stripe thus far.
The Peacocks hold the top spot in the MAAC in turnover margin, maintaining a +4.4 margin.
Additionally, Saint Peter's ranks second in the MAAC in offensive rebounds per game (13.6), three-point field goals made per game (7.4), assists per game (14), and field goal percentage (.418).
Finally, the Peacocks sit in third in the MAAC in scoring margin (+0.3) and in steals per game (9).
