Women’s Basketball Falls To Quinnipiac On Sunday Afternoon

Box Score HAMDEN, CT - The Saint Peter's women's basketball squad lost its first MAAC road game of the season at Quinnipiac in Hamden, CT on Sunday. Zoe Pero led the Peacocks with 19 points in the 90-45 loss. 
 
Game Notes vs. Quinnipiac:

• The Peacocks had a slow start to the afternoon, only scoring four points in the first quarter. 
• The team trailed Quinnipiac 22-4 going into the second quarter. 
• In the second quarter, Tyara McQueen opened with a quick three at the 9:48 mark.
• Jordan Hawthorne scored her first collegiate basket to close the first half, with the Peacocks trailing 16-44. 
• Zoe Pero scored 10 straight points in the third quarter, making eight free throws before adding a lay up. 
• In the final quarter, Pero added four more free throws going 12-12 for the day from the free throw line, finishing with 19 total points for the Peacocks. 
• Quinnipiac outscored Saint Peter's 18-11 In the last quarter to seal the win.
