Women’s Basketball Picks Up Tough Loss Against Saint Francis Brooklyn

The Peacocks lost to Saint Francis Brooklyn on Monday night, 70-74

 
BROOKLYN, NY - The Saint Peter's women's basketball squad lost in a nail biter against non-conference opponent, Saint Francis Brooklyn on Monday night. Point guard, Briyanah Richardson led the Peacocks with 21 points in the 74-70 loss.
 
Game Notes vs. Saint Francis Brooklyn
  • The Peacocks started off strong, going on a 7-0 run midway through the first quarter. 
  • Briyanah Richardson scored eight points, going 2-2 from the three, in the first quarter.
  • The Peacocks went 5-6 from the 3-point line in the first quarter. 
  • The Terriers went on a six point run early in the second quarter.
  • The teams went back and forth for the rest of the quarter, with the Peacocks going into halftime with the lead, 39-35. 
  • The Terriers had their best run, 12 points in the third quarter, taking the lead 55-52 to finish the quarter. 
  • The Peacocks bounced back in the fourth quarter, bringing the score to 55-54, with a lay up by Richardson.
