Women’s Volleyball Powers Through Five Set Match To Earn Win Over Manhattan

JERSEY CITY, NJ: The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team pulled out a close match against Manhattan at home to conclude the weekend. The team went through five nail biting sets, winning the second (25-19), the third (25-20), and the fifth (15-9) sets. 
 
Game Notes vs. Manhattan: 

• The Peacocks (7-24, 4-13 MAAC), earned the season sweep over Manhattan, winning in five sets (19-25) (25-19) (25-20) (19-25) (15-9) on Sunday afternoon.
• Manhattan forced a fifth set by taking set four after the Peacocks went up (2-1).
• In the deciding set, the Peacocks closed it out (15-9) to take the win. 

Inside the Numbers:

• Karen Ramiu had a team high 22 kills, also finishing with eight digs, and three service aces.
• Alanis Alvarado finished with seven kills and 11 digs against the Jaspers.
• Natalia Carbonell Torres added six kills for the match.
• Wildalys Soto finished with a team high of 25 assists.
• Angelee Ng finished behind her with 17 assists. 
• Karla Seda was just shy of her career high in digs, finishing with 25 to close the match.
