Women’s Volleyball Upsets Rider On Senior Day To Close Out Regular Season

Women's volleyball beat top-3 ranked, Rider University, in five sets in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ - Women's volleyball beat Rider University (3-2) at home on Senior Day in the final match of the regular season. 
 
Game Notes vs. Rider:
  • The Peacocks (8-24, 5-13 MAAC), earned their second win in a row, this one coming against the Broncs.
  • The match went to five sets on Saturday afternoon, (25-23) (15-25) (17-25) (25-19) (15-11). 
  • The Peacocks lost back-to-back sets in the second and third.
  • The team powered through to win the fourth set (25-19) forcing a fifth set.
  • In the deciding set, the Peacocks finished the match winning (15-11) to earn the win in their last game of the season. 
Inside the Numbers:
  • The Peacocks had two players record a double double. 
  • Karen Ramiu recorded her eighth double double of the season.
  • She recorded her season high in kills, finishing with 25, while adding 22 digs.
  • Angeleyshka Curbelo had 13 kills and seven digs in the match. 
  • Angelee Ng was shy of a double double finishing with 29 assists and 9 digs.
  • Wildalys Soto was right behind Ng finishing with 22 assists. 
  • Alexus Sharp added six kills and four digs.
  • Karla Seda finished with 18 digs and Alanis Alvarado added 16 digs for the Peacocks.
