  • The Peacocks responded less than 10 minutes later by way of a set piece goal from Mia Greene.
  • Peacock assist leader Brooke Trotta placed a corner kick right into the boot of Greene who put the ball into the back post for the equalizer, knotting the game at 1-1.
  • In the second half, Marist regained the lead in the 57th minute after a cross deflected off of a Peacock player and landed in the back of the net.
  • The Red Foxes added an insurance goal to put the game out of reach in minute 78 coming from Nicole Sasso's header near the back post.

Coach's Quotes - Melissa Sherwood
  • "The goals we conceded today were disappointing from our perspective."
  • "We gave the ball away too easily during spells in the second half which stifled our offensive play, particularly in transition."
  • "The players battled throughout the game but we must pair that with quality; that way our hard work is rewarded."
