  • The game remained deadlocked at 1-1 for the first 35 minutes in the second half.
  • In the 80th minute, Jamie Davis sent a long outlet pass to Dominic Laws who outran two Iona defenders and sent a beauty to the near post for the go-ahead goal.
  • With just under five minutes to go, Iona's Josh Plimpton drove to the right side and handed off a pass to the top of the box where Humbert Ferrer shot the goal in to tie the game at 2-2.
  • In the first overtime, the Peacocks outshot the Gaels 2-0 but could not score the golden goal.
  • Jordan Jowers' shot was blocked, followed by Steven Parry's shot going high over the goal.

Coach's Quotes – Julian Richens
  • "We have had some very good performances away from home recently. We got control of the game in the second half and were slightly unfortunate not to come away with all three points."
  • "Our home form clearly needs to improve - the bye week has come at a good time for us to refocus and for players to get healthy."
Up Next
  • The Peacocks have a full week of rest before returning to the pitch next Saturday, October 13 for a home game with Niagara at 2 p.m. The game will be Alumni Day, with events to follow the match.
