Men's Soccer Clinches Berth into MAAC Championship Field

Despite a loss to Siena on the final day, the Peacocks secured a spot in the postseason

LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Saint Peter's men's soccer team clinched a spot in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship after the regular season concluded on Wednesday, despite the Peacocks' 2-0 setback to Siena.

  • The Saint Peter's (8-8-2, 5-4-1) men's soccer team secured the sixth and final spot into the MAAC Championship field following Manhattan's 1-0 defeat at Fairfield.
  • The Peacocks clinch a postseason berth into the six-team field for the first time since 2010, which was also the last time Saint Peter's won the MAAC Championship title.
  • This is the first season under Julian Richens that the team has clinched a spot into the postseason on a year that all 11 teams do not qualify.
