Men’ Soccer Blanks Third Straight Opponent for Fourth Win in a Row

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Saint Peter's men's soccer team continues to roll late in the season, picking up its third straight shutout win and extending the team's winning streak to four wins after edging rival Rider, 1-0 on Wednesday evening. The Peacocks' current unbeaten streak is now at five games.
 
Game Notes

• Saint Peter's (8-6-2, 5-2-1) and Rider (5-9-1, 4-4) alternated shots throughout the first half, but neither team found the back of the net.
• The Peacocks logged five first half shots, while the Broncs posted six.
• In the second half, the shot exchanges continued and by the fourth Peacock shot of the half in the 71st minute, Marco Torino nailed the game-winning goal from a Jamie Davis pass that put Saint Peter's up 1-0.
• Rider got one shot off following the goal, looking for the equalizer but Saint Peter's keeper Jason Dubrovich stopped the shot securing his third straight shutout.
