RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Aondofa Anyam (Exton, Pa./Church Farm School) highlighted three Saint Peter's track and field athletes with a win in the high jump at the Draddy Invitational on Saturday.
Anyam won the high jump with a mark of 1.99m. Calvin Bannister (Brown Mills, N.J./Pemberton Township) also registered a first-place finish in the 1000-meter run (3:01.10) and Monica Rosales (Monterrey, Mexico/Monterrey) won the 500-meter dash (1:28.02).
After finishing second in the 200-meter dash at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday, Nkeka Pinheiro (Ajax, Ontario/Ajax) placed second in the 60-meter dash (7.93) at the Draddy Invitational.
Suzenie St Germain (Linden, N.J./Linden) (300-meter dash, 45.36), Jovanna Larose (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township) (500-meter dash, 1:29.12), Danielle Correia (Freeport, N.Y./Roosevelt) (60-meter hurdles, 9.33), Kaela Culmer (high jump, 1.55m) and Amanda Marcelin (shot put, 10.18m) also recorded second-place standings on for the women's team.
Along with Anyam and Bannister, Percy Martin (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.89) and Michael Marcano (Rosselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic) was third in 60-meter dash (6.82)
This event was the final tune up for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 21.
