The Saint Peter's University men and women's indoor track and field squads turned in stellar performances as they began the 2013 calendar year at the Crowell Open Meet at West Point.
Sophomore Jamelia Johnson, won the Long Jump and the 60 meters with marks of 5.47 meters and 7.84, respectively. Johnson also placed second in the 200 meters with a converted time of 25.17.
Kevin Persson and Stefanny Laureano both won the 500 meters for the Peacocks, while Jamel Presley won the 60 meter Hurdles. Renee Brzyski won the 60 meter Hurdles on the women's side.
Jennifer Cajou had a season best mark of 1.65 meters (5'5) in the High Jump, while Morgan McLaughlin posted a 9.05 time to take 3rd in the 60 Hurdles.
Both squads will return to action on January 12, at the NY Armory for the Armory Collegiate Series.
