Blaise Ffrench led the squad in scoring for the second consecutive game, but his 19 points were not enough to lift the Peacocks past Binghamton. With the loss, Saint Peter's drops to 3-1, while the Bearcats pick up their first win of the year and improve to 1-4.

Saint Peter's was able to establish an early four point lead (9-5) following a two-point basket by senior Yvon Raymond, but back-to-back bucktes by Binghamton's Jordan Reed and Karon Waller knotted the score, the first of seven tied scores in the frame. Neither team was able to pull in front by more than three points, until the game entered the half-time break tied at 27.
The Peacocks were out-shot by the hosts in the frame, 40.7% to 37.9%. Ffrench and sophomore Desi Washington each recorded 7 points in the half.
The second half picked up right where the first ended, with both teams exhancing baskets. Seven more tied scores would occur until Reed and Alex Ogundadegbe combined for 6 points that resulted in a 7-0 Bearcat run (53-46) with 2:41 remaining in the stanza. Ffrench ended the spurt with a layup at 2:28 to make the score 53-48. The Peacocks were unable to get closer than 4 for the remainder of the contest after a conventional three-point play by Ffrench. Binghamton closed out the game with 4-1 run for the eight point victory.
Saint Peter's shot just 29.4% in the second half, with almost half their points coming from Ffrench (12 of 27). Overall, the Peacocks finished with a 33.3% shooting percentage and shot 56.3% from the line. The Bearcast shot 42.9% from the floor.
Although the Peacocks only committed 8 turnovers to the hosts' 15, they were outrebounded by a 46-35 margin.
Desi Washington contributed 9 points and 4 boards in the loss. Binghamton was led by Jordan Reed, who finished with a double-double of 17 points, 18 rebounds.
Today's loss marks the first time Saint Peter's has dropped a game to Binghamton in three contests.
Saint Peter's hits the hardwood again next Sunday, as they matchup against Seton Hall University at the Prudential Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 1pm.
