Sean Powers begins his 26th season at Saint Peter's in 2021-22, currently serving as Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities and Operations. A man that has worn many hats in his time in Jersey City, Powers started as an offensive line coach for the football program, he then served as the strength and conditioning coach, and equipment manager.
He came to Saint Peter’s in 1996 as an offensive line coach and spent 11 years on the sideline with the Peacocks football program. During the 2001 season, he helped the Saint Peter’s offense rank 15th nationally in Division I-AA rushing offense and his offensive line only allowed 15 sacks during the 10-1 Saint Peter’s Hall of Fame season of 2001. The next year the offense was even better and ranked ninth while his O-line allowed 18 sacks.
A graduate of Ithaca College, Powers also served as an assistant coach at Dartmouth and Swarthmore before arriving in Jersey City.
