Chris Mastrangelo joined the Peacocks in 2025 after spending seven years with the University of Connecticut men’s basketball program under head coach Dan Hurley. He began his career as a student manager from 2018-21, coinciding with Hurley’s first years leading the Huskies, before serving as a graduate assistant from 2021-23. He was then promoted to Assistant Director of Basketball Operations from 2023-25, where he played a key role in the day-to-day management of the program.

During his time with the Huskies, Mastrangelo contributed to one of the most successful stretches in program history, helping UConn capture back-to-back NCAA National Championships in 2023 and 2024, along with two regional championships and the 2024 Big East regular season and tournament titles.

Highly proficient in managing basketball operations, Mastrangelo brings experience coordinating team logistics, curating and analyzing video for player development and scouting and supporting coaches and student-athletes in high-pressure situations. His leadership, organizational skills and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in preparing teams for success at the highest levels of college basketball.

Mastrangelo is a two-time graduate of the University of Connecticut, earning his Bachelor of Science in sports management in 2021 and his Master of Science in sports management in 2023.
