JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's men's basketball team is back at Run Baby Run Arena for its last two games of the regular season this week. The Peacocks will play Niagara Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET before taking on Canisius on Saturday at 2 p.m. in what will be their Senior Day celebration.
The Peacocks (11-15, 6-12 MAAC) are coming off a huge win against Marist this past weekend as they kept their playoff hopes very much alive. Saint Peter's is sitting one game out of the last spot for the MAAC Tournament which makes these last two home games critical.
The Peacocks are in a tight race with Fairfield (11-18, 7-11 MAAC) and Rider (11-18, 7-11 MAAC) as the regular season nears a close. If Saint Peter's were to finish with the same record as Fairfield, it would favor the Peacocks as they took down the Stags in their only meeting this season. If the Peacocks were to finish with the same record as the Broncs, it would favor the Broncs since they had a larger scoring margin in their victory over SPU.

ABOUT THE PURPLE EAGLES
The Purple Eagles (10-19, 5-13 MAAC) are sitting one game behind the Peacocks and two games out of 10th place in the MAAC after losing their last five games. In their first matchup against Saint Peter's, they took care of business with a 70-60 win at home. Niagara is averaging 67.9 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the field which ranks second in the conference.
The senior duo of Olumide Adelodun and Jaeden Marshall are the only Purple Eagles averaging double-digit points this season. Adelodun leads Niagara in rebounds and steals while Marshall has scored at least 12 points in the last two games.
Niagara is coached by Greg Paulus who is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Purple Eagles.
ABOUT THE GOLDEN GRIFFINS
The Golden Griffs (3-26, 3-15 MAAC) have had a rough go this season as they sit in last place in the MAAC. Their last win came in a five-point victory over Siena on the road, but have since lost their last two games. Canisius is averaging 65.4 points per game this season while shooting 44.1 percent from the floor.
Despite their record, the Golden Griffs have one of the best offensive players in the MAAC in Paul McMillan IV. He ranks second in the conference with 20.0 points per game and 12th in assists, averaging 2.8.
Canisius is coached by Jim Christian who is in his first season as the head coach of the Golden Griffins.
