GENEVA, OHIO- Saint Peter's University Swimming & Diving competed over the course of four days at the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Swimming & Diving Championships.
The men's team finished in eighth place out of nine MAAC teams, while the women's team had a tie for 11
th place in the championships. Saint Peter's competed with the rest of the conference over the course of the four-day championships.
The highlight of the meet took place on Friday during the day three women's 100-yard butterfly preliminary round when
Paige Austin-Burrows broke a school record for her time of 57.80 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly. Sophomore
Juan Nunez had a strong performance with a seventh-place finish in Friday's men's 400-yard IM.
Tristan Raso also had a seventh-place finish in the men's 100-yard butterfly heat for the Peacocks.
On day four,
Maddie McKinney scored a top-20 finish in the women's 1,650-yard freestyle with a sub-18-minute finals time. Ella Schirtzinger finished close to McKinney with an 18:21.42 finals time in the same heat.
There were great individual performances for the Peacocks in the 11th and final event of the season. Head coach
Jose Cruz and his team will be able to use this experience for next season.
