Peacocks Battle Strong At Wagner Duel Match

MILLSTONE, N.J. - A strong showing ends in defeat as the Saint Peter's Peacocks men's golf team wrapped up a tough duel match against Wagner. The final team scores were 379-370 in favor of the Seahawks. The Peacocks did show a lot of promise in the match however. Juniors Jeffery Yong and Mohit Sanagavarapu finished as the leading scorers for the Peacocks with individual scores of 72 and 74 respectively. Here are total scores from the Peacocks:

Jeffery Hong: 72
Mohit Sanagavarapu: 74
Shiv Manhas: 77
Jack Hennelly: 78
Chad Maurer: 78

"I'm really proud of how our golfers battled today. In the end, the match came down to the last few holes." head coach Dr. Jim Stefankiewicz said after the match.  "We are doing a lot of things well and I feel that we are close to bringing it all together." 

The Peacocks will now travel to the Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational beginning Sunday, Oct. 5th and ending Monday, Oct. 6th.
