Box Score Washington, D.C.- The Saint Peter's University Men's Soccer team fell to George Washington University, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.
Game Notes
- George Washington only scored twice in the second half to erase a scoreless first half.
- Those two goals from Colin Prendergast and Alex Nicholson in the 62nd and 74th minutes, respectively, carried the Revolutionaries to a one-goal victory.
- Conlan Paventi scored Saint Peter's lone goal from a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.
- Saint Peter's goalkeeper Pedro Alves made seven saves in the loss.
- Coach Richens gave his thoughts on his team's performance.
- "We played really well in the first half and got the right balance in our play on both sides of the ball, created chances, and felt we deserved our lead," Richens said. "We lost our shape in the second half and conceded two poor goals from our perspective. You cannot make those mistakes and expect to get results away from home at this level. It is important that we learn that quickly this early on in the season."
- With the loss the Peacocks are 0-1-1 on the season.
