Loudonville, N.Y.- Saint Peter's Softball lost both games of Saturday's doubleheader to Siena College at the Siena Softball Field.
Game 1 Notes
- In the first game of the doubleheader, Siena topped Saint Peter's, 6-0.
- Siena put Saint Peter's in an early 5-0 hole after the third inning, which was too great of a deficit for the Peacocks to overcome.
- Siena first baseman Emma Petersen drove in a total of two runs for the Saints.
- For Saint Peter's, Sydney Orndorff led the team in hits with two.
Game 2 Notes
- Similar to the first game, Siena handled Saint Peter's with a four-run win, 6-2. Â
- The key difference in this game was that Saint Peter's scored and were within striking distance of Siena in the sixth inning. Â
- Unfortunately for the Peacocks, the Saint used the bottom of the sixth inning to pull away after McKenzie Swinson delivered a two-run home run.
- With two losses on Saturday, Saint Peter's dropped to a 15-31 overall record and 5-15 conference record. Â
Saint Peter's will play its final game of the series at Siena on Sunday at 12 p.m.
