JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's Softball team travels to Riverdale, New York, for a three-game series at Manhattan. The Peacocks square off against the Jaspers in a doubleheader on Saturday, April, 13 at noon. On Sunday, Apr. 14, Saint Peter's wraps up the series at Manhattan with one game at noon.
Saint Peter's is 12-18, and 2-7 in conference play. The Peacocks hold the third-highest batting average in the MAAC (.277) and are currently tenth in the MAAC standings. Manhattan (6-29, 3-8 MAAC) is one spot above Saint Peter's in the MAAC standings at ninth.Â
Manhattan junior Lindsey Hoag leads the Jaspers in hitting (.290). Manhattan Sophomore Maddy Weir leads the Jaspers in hits (30) and home runs (four) this season.Â
Saint Peter's Cara McNulty and Jess Forte are tied for the team lead in home runs with seven each this season (fourth in the MAAC). Maiah Skakal is batting a team-high .363Â this year. Dakota Pitts has hit the most doubles in the MAAC this year with 12 this season.
Saint Peter's is 7-29 all-time against the Jaspers. Saint Peter's picked up its last win over Manhattan 7-6 (5/3/23).Â
