Men's Basketball Looks For Fifth Straight Win Sunday At Run Baby Run Arena

JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's Men's Basketball team looks to extend its four-game winning streak against Manhattan(6-20, 3-14 MAAC) at Run Baby Run Arena on Sunday, Mar. 3. 

Overview 
The red-hot Peacocks have defeated Siena (Feb. 16), Iona (Feb. 18), Mount St. Mary's (Feb. 23), and Marist (Feb.25) during their winning streak. Saint Peter's (15-11, 11-6 MAAC) is currently fourth in the MAAC standings with three games left in the regular season. The Peacocks are behind Marist (16-10, 11-6 MAAC), Fairfield (18-11, 12-6 MAAC), and Quinnipiac (20-8, 12-5 MAAC). 

Defense
Saint Peter's is ranked 13th in the nation in scoring defense. The Peacocks have held opponents to 63.5 points per game. During SPU's winning streak, the Peacocks have held opponents to 57.7 points per game. The Peacocks are 8-0 when they have held opponents to under 60 points this season.

Corey Washington
The preseason All-MAAC honoree offensively exploded in February. Washington has averaged 22.7 points per game, and 7.2 rebounds per game in February. The 6-6 forward from Arkansas has scored 20+ points in seven games, and has tallied three double-doubles this season. Washington leads the Peacocks in scoring (16.2PPG) and rebounding (6.2RPG).

Marcus Randolph
During the last four games, Randolph has been a sharpshooter from beyond the arc. The Saint Peter's junior has shot 50% or above from downtown in four consecutive games.  

Latrell Reid
Reid has scored in double figures in 19 games and leads the Peacocks in assists with 113 this season. The New Jersey native is fourth in the MAAC in assists per game with 4.3. 

Manhattan
The Jaspers picked up a 70-68 win at Siena on Friday, Mar. 1. Manhattan's Perry Cowan scored 19 points, which included five three-pointers. Manhattan's Jaden Winston is second in the MAAC in assists (4.7 APG). Shaquil Bender leads the Jaspers in scoring with 13.4 points per game. 

Series
Saint Peter's is 81-67 all-time versus Manhattan. The last time these teams played, the Peacocks put up a season-high 81 points in their 81-68 victory over Manhattan at Draddy Gymnasium on Sunday, Jan. 14. Four players for the Peacocks scored in double figures led by 17 points from Washington, followed by Roy Clarke (15 points), and Armonie Zeigler (14 points). Reid recorded a double-double on 11 points and a career-high 11 assists.
