JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's Men's Soccer lost 4-0 to Iona University on Wednesday afternoon at Jaroschak Field.
On Senior Day, the Peacocks were unable to get a win for the six seniors. The seniors honored were
Daniel Blackmore,
Charlie Hare,
Harvey Ormerod,
Daniel Larsson,
Jeremy Gonzalez, and
Kaloyan Somov. In addition to the festivities, there were playoff implications on the line. Saint Peter's needed a win over Iona to help the program reach the MAAC Men's Soccer Championships.
The first half ended in a scoreless draw. The Peacocks attacked in the first 45 minutes with two shots on goal. Iona had eight shot attempts in the first half.
Iona poured on four goals in the last 45 minutes of play. Saint Peter's battled hard until the very end of the match.
