JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's University men's basketball head coach
Bashir Mason earned his 200
th career collegiate coaching victory as his Peacocks were led by six scorers in double digits in a 116-51 win over Saint Elizabeth University.
The Peacocks improve their season record to 2-3.
With the win, Coach Mason improves his career record to 200-165, with 35 of his wins coming at Saint Peter's.
A night of new personal records was highlighted by sophomore
Armoni Zeigler who set a new career-best with 30 points, while tying his career high with four triples, going 4-of-6 from downtown. Zeigler added three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and five steals with his assist, block and steal numbers setting or tying career-highs.
Graduate
Stephon Roberts was dominate in the front court, grabbing a career-best 17 rebounds, while adding a personal best 15 points in the win. Senior
Marcus Randolph continued his hot start to the season, with 21 points, shooting 3-for-4 from behind the arc. Randolph chipped in five assists and two steals.
Freshman
Jakai Sanders totaled 11 points and four rebounds, while junior
Jaquel Morris rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points along with eight rebounds.
The Peacocks are back on the road as they travel to in-state rival FDU on Tuesday, November 26 for a 7 pm tip-off. The game will be streamed on the YES Network.
