JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's Men's Basketball team (10-7, 6-2 MAAC) takes on Siena (3-16, 2-6 MAAC) at MVP Arena in Albany, New York on Sunday, Jan. 28. The game tips off at 2PM and will be on ESPN+.
Overview
Saint Peter's is currently third in the MAAC standings with a 6-2 record in conference play. The Peacocks are coming off a 62-57 loss against Rider on Thursday, Jan. 25. Siena is tenth in the conference with two conference wins this season. In their last game, the Saints fell to Iona 70-51 on Friday, Jan. 26.
Siena's Killia Gribben leads the MAAC in blocked shots with 25 this season (1.4 per game). Siena redshirt sophomore Giovanni Emejuru averages a team-high 10.8 points per game and leads the Saints on the glass with 6.2 rebounds per game. Zek Tekin is seventh in the MAAC with 3.6 assists per game.
On Friday, Latrell Reid led the Peacocks with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. The SPU senior is one of the top distributors in the MAAC. Reid is third in the MAAC in assists per game (4.5). Additionally, the New Jersey native has scored in double figures in 13 games this season.
Corey Washington was named the Hercules Tires MAAC Player of the Week on Wednesday, Jan. 24. A link to the story can be found here. The SPU sophomore is sixth in the MAAC in scoring (14.5 points per game).
Defensively, Saint Peter's has held opponents to 64.1 points per game (second in the MAAC). On the boards, Siena is fourth in combined team rebounds (36.2 per game). Saint Peter's is third in rebounding margin (2.6), and second in the MAAC in offensive rebounds (12.6 rebounds per game). The Peacocks are 9-3 this season when they've held opponents to under 70 points. Brent Bland is tenth in the MAAC in steals with 28 (1.6 per game).

Saint Peter's is 52-47 all-time against Siena. In the last meeting, the Peacocks defeated the Saints 73-72 in overtime (Mar. 4, 2023).
