Box Score Lynchburg, Va.- The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team opened up the 2023 season with a 3-2 loss to Liberty University on Thursday night.

- Larsson recorded his second goal of the first half in the 17th minute. His second goal gave Saint Peter's a 2-1 lead over Liberty.
- In the 38th minute, Kyle Garnett tied the game, 2-2, for Liberty.
- The offense slowed down in the second half, and the game became defensive.
- Michael Huss registered the only second half goal for either team in the 90th minute, which sealed the win for the Flames.
