JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's men's basketball team (2-4, 1-0 MAAC) concludes the weekend with a conference game versus Canisius (5-3, 1-0 MAAC) at the Koessler Center in Buffalo Sunday.
Overview
The Peacocks started conference play with a 71-67 win over Niagara on Friday, Dec. 1st. Michael Houge dropped 15 points in the first half and finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. Latrell Reid (15 points) scored in double figures for the fifth game this season. Additionally, Corey Washington made his return to the Peacocks' lineup.Â
Houge leads the Peacocks with 13.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game this season. SPU's bench has outscored its opponents'Â bench 161-78 this season.
The Griffins opened conference play with a 93-73 victory against Quinnipiac on Friday, Dec. 1st. Canisius is headlined by Siem Uijtendaal (14.8 ppg), Tre Dinkins (14.5 ppg), and Frank Mitchell (11.6 ppg, 9.8 rpg).Â
