New Rochelle, N.Y.- The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team lost to Iona University, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at Mazzella Field.
Game Notes
- Saint Peter's gave up an early goal to Iona and could not find a way to stay in the game with Iona.
- In the first 25 minutes, Iona scored twice with goals from Sergio Gonzalez Fernandez and Camil Ruiz in the 11th minute and 23rd minute, respectively.
- Ruiz was credited with an assist on a Matias Morales goal in the 72nd minute. Iona closed out the game with its final goal from Frederik Johnson Oee with less than two minutes left to go.
Inside The Numbers
- Despite the loss, Saint Peter's was aggressive on offense in the second. The team attempted six shots in the final 45 minutes.
- Forward Mikkel Fodstad attempted three shots on the day.
