The Kick Off
- The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team continues the 2022 season on Saturday night as they visit UMBC for a non-conference clash.
- Saint Peter's is coming off of a 3-1 loss against Temple on Tuesday. Freshman forward Teodor Linn scored his first collegiate goal while senior defender Tom Climpson and freshman midfielder Reiss Skeen provided the assist.
Series with the Retrievers
- Saint Peter's will face off against UMBC for the second time on Saturday.
- The Peacocks lost to the Retrievers 2-1 in their only other matchup on September 6, 2019. The Peacocks won the MAAC Conference Championship that season.
- UMBC finished with a 8-8-3 record in 2021.
Peacock Country, Let's Ride
- Men's soccer picked up their first win of the season on September 10th against St. Francis Brooklyn
- This was the latest they have picked up their first win of a season (4 games in) since 2018.
- Saint Peter's finished 8-9-1 during the 2018 campaign.
- The Peacocks have two more non-conference matchups (Including Saturday's game) before kicking off conference play on Wednesday, September 28 at Marist.
Team Leaders
- Linn, junior forward Conlan Paventi, senior defender Tom Climpson, freshman midfielder Reiss Skeen, sophomore defender Daniel Blackmore, and freshman forward Mikkel Fodstad each have goals for the Peacocks this season.
- Skeen has three of the four assists recorded by Saint Peter's this season. He leads the team in points with five. Climpson and Fodstad have the other assists.
- Graduate goalkeeper Guillem Badenes Mecho has made 18 saves in five appearances.
