Men’s Soccer Looks to Keep Playoff Hopes Alive as They Host Manhattan

The Kick Off

• The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team continues conference play on Wednesday as they host Manhattan.
• Saint Peter's is coming off of a 4-0 loss against Quinnipiac on Saturday.

Series with the Jaspers

• Saint Peter's will face off against Manhattan for the 46th time on Wednesday.
• The Peacocks are 31-13-1 all-time against the Jaspers.
• Saint Peter's lost to Manhattan 3-0 the last time the two teams played on October 23, 2021 in Riverdale, NY.

Playoff Push

• Saint Peter's currently sits tenth out of 11 teams in the MAAC standings. The top six teams qualify for the playoffs.
• The Peacocks are seven points behind sixth place with three games remaining.
• The team still plays first place Manhattan, ninth place Rider, and third place Iona.
• The Peacocks have qualified for the MAAC Tournament the last four seasons.

Team Leaders

• Junior midfielder Conlan Paventi, sophomore defender Daniel Blackmore, and sophomore forward Mikkel Fodstad each have two goals this season. Freshman forward Lex Vaughan, freshman forward Teodor Linn, senior defender Tom Climpson, fifth year forward Matt Hoyt, and freshman midfielder Reiss Skeen each have one goal for the Peacocks.
• Skeen has six of the ten assists recorded by Saint Peter's this season. He leads the team in points with seven.
• Fodstad, Charles, Linn, and senior defender Tom Climpson have the other four assists.
• Graduate goalkeeper Guillem Badenes Mecho has made 56 saves in 14 appearances.
