FAIRFIELD, CT- The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team lost to Fairfield 1-0 on Wednesday night.
Game Notes
- Graduate goalkeeper Guillem Badenes Mecho was forced to make a save inside the first minute to keep the score tied.
- Badenes Mecho had to make two more saves in the half as Fairfield dominated play. Saint Peter's didn't record a shot on goal in the first half as the score remained tied at zero at the break.
- The Peacocks' first real chance came from junior forward Antonio Green, who had his volley inside the box saved in the 53rd minute.
- Sophomore forward Mikkel Fodstad hit the post in the 63rd minute after senior midfielder Roodlenscky Charles played him through.
- Badenes Mecho made an incredible save in the 67th minute to keep the score tied.
- Fairfield scored in the 73rd minute to take the lead.
- Freshman forward Reiss Skeen had an attempt stopped by the Fairfield keeper in the 77th minute.
- The Peacocks were unable to find the equalizer, as they dropped their ninth contest of the season.
