BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – The Saint Peter's University women's volleyball team dropped its second meeting of the season to St. Francis Brooklyn in straight sets (17-25, 18-25, 19-25) on Wednesday night at Genovesi Center, Brooklyn Heights, NY.

Match Notes
- The Peacocks never held a lead in game number one, getting as close one at 3-2 and two at 10-8.
- Skylee Nelson, Stephanie Rivera, and Wildalys Soto each scored two kills in the set.
- Once again, SPU failed to gain the advantage at any point in the set during game two, falling into an 8-1 deficit in the early goings.
- The Peacocks would fight their way back into the game, pulling within 23-18 after a Brianna Jones kill, forcing the Terriers into calling a timeout.
- It would prove to be too little too late, as SFC would again close out the set, putting SPU down 2-0 in the match.
- The third set played in SPU's favor early, taking a 2-0 lead by way of consecutive kills from Rivera and Angeleyshka Curbelo.
- Back and forth play followed, with the teams alternating the next 20 set points, resulting in an 11-11 tie.
- The Peacocks' gas would eventually run out, surrendering the lead for the final time and allowing a 14-8 SFC run to close out the night.

- Soto recorded her second double-double of the season, leading the offense with a team-high 15 assists and the defense with a team-best 12 digs, adding four kills on .308 attack percentage.
- Both of Soto's double-doubles this season have come in matches against the Terriers, also posting the achievement during the first meeting between the two sides on August 28.
- Curbelo was the team-leader in kills, finishing with nine and 10.5 points.
- Alanis Alvarado matched Soto's kill output (4) and was second on the lineup in digs (9), while Rivera ended the meeting with a trio of kills and three blocks.
