Box Score PROVIDENCE, RI - The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team lost to Big East opponent Providence College by a score of 6-2 on Sunday afternoon. Junior defender Tom Clipmson and graduate student Kevin Van Der Pol each scored their first goals of the season in the outing.

The Peacocks came out of the gates flying, as Climpson scored a goal to give the Peacocks the lead in the 10th minute. Senior midfielder Jamie Davis provided the assist.

Davis struck the woodwork with his effort in the 31st minute.

Providence scored three goals within 11 minutes to close out the first half, giving them a 3-1 lead going into the break.

The Friars converted again just a minute into the second half to take a 4-1 lead.

Senior defender Brian Carvalhoso hit the woodwork with his shot in the 57th minute as the Peacocks continued to fight despite the deficit.

Van Der Pol scored his first goal as a Peacock in the 84th minute on a feed from Davis. That made the score 4-2.

The Friars scored in the 89th minute and then again in the 90th minute via a penalty kick to make the final score 6-2.
